This stage could have had so much potential, but all we get is a sprint.

Anyways, rest day for the GC guys before the TT. Cav, Sagan, Demare, Greipel, Ciolek, Kittel the top contenders. Or will we see another Pelucchi-like upset?

Kittel will probably win it, but I would love it if Cav could. Hopefully his train can get him to the front, and hopefully he has the legs.

I would be very surprised if Sagan has the legs for sprint after yesterday performance.

If this was a hilly stage, would Kittel, Cav and Greipel have started in T-A? That was the question the organizer needed to answer with the route.

Anyway this is Kittel's show.

I don't think sagan will win today too, but imho it won't be due to the yesterday. I don't think he was pushing too much yesterday. There was no reason for it, as he came 20th anyway. More probable scenario is, that he just had fun going down from lanciano and gained some serious time in process of it.

We will see. Anyway big trio has yestereday´s climbs in their legs too and althought it was in training mode it had to be painful for them for sure.

Cav saved himself yesterday - last to finish at 29mins.

yup, but his form is still a question mark. For me, the germans are top favourites

The technical final should favor Greipel.

But would love to see a fragmented peloton. Movistar could blow it to pieces with their TT-squad.

I never thought I'd ever see that written...

Kittel for me, I've not been impressed with Greipels wins and Cav seems to not be in top shape yet.

Does excessive riding out of the saddle excacerbate this condition?

pushing a big gear would i think which would be part of out of the saddle riding.

really think this stage is for the germans too, maybe demare can spring an upset

Why do you think the finish is technical. If I am reading the topo of the finish correctly, there is more than 1km straight road.
