I don't quite get why NetApp did all that pace setting to half the gap to the break:confused: They're done now and the gap is slowly going back out again.

I was really hoping the break would survive today so we'll see two good races in one. Firstly a battle between the strongest breakaway riders for the stage win, then the time gap battle for the GC lot.

For You, Your Opinion...... certainly there will be questions, but don't speak for anyone but yourself as other viewpoints may differ :)
OK,Im sorry.I just speak for most of (not all).
Still its weird you think Nibali would beat Froome n Contador, with so much your experience you should know the most important thing in GT are mountains. (2:40 advantage of Vincenzo would be irrelevant) Check gaps to other 'opponents' in stages (no offense) and climb times after Tour.

Nibali didn't have to go all out on the two MTFs, so that doesn't say much.

2008 the two top favourites weren't invited, in 2007 they both DNFed, in 2006 they both DNS.

Surely 2007 was not true. Don't tell me Rasmussen was one of favs. Im on about just starting race and having to abandon. 4 of the top 5 GC riders are not in top 10 and 3 not even in race. Top 5 riders are Froome, Contador, Nibali, Quintana and Purito. It shows the race has been unique. Their has been nothing wrong with 2012(great course for Sky) and 2013(Froome dominant). Nibali's GT wins which will soon be 3 have had not great podiums either(will be hilarious seeing TJVG or Bardet on podium). Not saying anything wrong but he as never been best GT rider in world or even 2nd in his wins.

I don't think he would have beat Contador, but I think he would have battled and came 2nd. But that us just My Opinion, and speculation.

Surely you didn't follow cycling at that time then.

You don't really seem to understand how sports work.

Unless he's giving it to a friend, has a pact with someone for some reason or whatever, a professional athlete shouldn't be just "letting" his opponents beat him just to be nice to them. That's insulting.

I see. Now it's Majka, the wheelsucker, I have to worry about. He has taken 0 leads.

Michele Ferrari isn't so sure, and he knows a thing or two. Likewise Wiggins

Ferrari claiming one of his clients is better than he is? Wow, that's new. It only happens every year.

Guess you haven't been watching, he has been on the front multiple times in this stage.
