I assume Sky have zero interest in the team prize therefore is it worth any of their mountain domestiques wasting energy to finish with the bunch?

It's for backup in case something happens to Froome, it is easier to drop back to help someone rather than catch up to them on the road.

Tank and JackRabbitSlims, your conversation is starting to derail the thread. I've deleted it, don't start it up again.

Lotto most likely looking to set up Greipel for GER nat'l championship repeat. His confidence is through the roof now when he hammered his uphill sprint all the way to the finish. I can see only Gerrans or Sagan outfoxing him, but very unlikely.

Buttertubs was a monster :D. Beautiful scenery, punishing gradients, crowds like on Alpe d'Huez or Plateau de Beille, Rodriguez and Horner cracking. Definitely should be HC.

Just a shame they put it so far away from the finish. Would have like the climbs to be a little closer.

Froome and Thomas both of Team Sky are near the front. The Australian can even muster a smile so the pace isn't to high at the moment.

Aussie who?
