They can't blame this on the cobbles because they hadn't even reached them jet. It was just rain.

To me he looked more like mentally broken:(

What?! Are you high?

Brazil was mentally broken yesterday. Froome was clearly hurting in his arm/shoulder.

Less crashes on the first bit of pavé than on your average right hander of this stage

So with Froome out, this should be Contador's tour, however, I guess it will be classed as a hollow victory without Froome there to battle.

Froome for the Vuelta? Whoever wins this TDF is not the strongest that is for sure. Also credit to the many people who don't like him but sound gutted he is out.

Your last sentence is negated by the second one. Anyway, I wanted him to lose in the mountains, not like this. Oh well.

Froome can handle wet roads fine (see Romandie the last couple of years) but stuff like this is ridiculous. I hope he'll be ok for the Vuelta and Richie Porte now has a big chance.

He definitely was. There was no hope left on his face. Just broken.

All that energy wasted on humiliating Wiggins and that useless autobiography, hopefully this will humble him...needless to say he won't have his way again next year if Wiggo stays with Sky. Lesson learned (at last) for Brailsford? You would think that the 2011 fiasco would have been enough.

We didn't even get to the cobbles yet. Should they neutralize every single slippery road?

Clearly, this is what baby Shleck has been saying.

It's too dangerous to ride in the rain, or downhill, or uphill, or around corners, or ......

And the great cry eminating from the UK about this stage will be heard for days...

Dude should be able to handle a bike like the other GC guys are.

Froome fell again before the cobblestones. The Dutch commentators were wondering why so many appear to have forgotten how to ride in the wet. There seems to be no rational reason or excuse for so many crashes.
