Assuming they actually *race* the sections left in I think it still has potential to be as or even more exciting than the unchanged route in good conditions.

One of the canceled sectors. Clearly not raceable.

The Danish cycling blog Veloropa is now quoting a journalist from a major Danish newspaper, saying that sectors 8 and 9 are being considered as well.

All the real cyclists should leave the Tour after today. Let Prudhomme race with his 30 skeletons GC babys. This is only the Tour de Farce.
I am out. Thangs guys, has always been a great place to be in here.
But this is too much. This is not the sport i used to love.
I rather remember the old days than watching this pathetic girls camp.

Thank you and goodbye, i am done as cycling fan

It's pretty clear that this going to be last cobbled stage for a quite long time. :(

2 cobbled sectors scratched off due to bad weather, but which ones?

Orchies to Beauvry-la-Forêt (5) and Mons-en-Pévèle (7) removed

I'm not a farmer but for me in this photo cereal is sprouting and that suggests this is a photo taken in spring and it doesn't depict current state of the road.

The sensible thing to do really is moving Paris-Roubaix to July. Awesome weather

I think the one who wins this tour can call himself a real allrounder after getting through todays stage.

But if that picture is from today where its flooded then really thats silly. Not just for the riders but all the support vehicles.

Really hope Vanmarcke wins today. Got a feeling about Van Avermaet though, and Nibali taking time on the other GC guys for some reason..

so they canceled the only cobblestroke that pretty much mattered :mad:

Mons-en-Pévèle was only the easiest first 1km of the section anyway. Not too sad.

It is kind of torture that the finish line is right next to the Trouée though.
