The race finally starts on it's 7th day. . . . The winner is pretty obvious but that is not what's important about this stage.

How will the GC favourites do (inb4 Tony Martin is a GC thread) do?

My prediction is: Mollema then Costa, Kreuziger, Frank, Henao.

not sure about costa in this expect Dumoulin to go well again anyway. Dennis would been good but we can't be sure he is feeling the best.

Izagirre to spring into the top 3

This seems to be a pretty hilly itt, Costa has always done well in those type of time trials.

I don't know how Cancellara is doing in terms of injuries but he goes off second and Martin goes off last. Weather conditions could play a big part.

Ya its hard to tell how he is doing form wise...haven't seen much of him in this race. The fanboy in me would like to see him win, but I think Tony is the obvious. Kreuziger to have a stellar performance and get real close to yellow.

Martin wins this on one leg. He looks very strong. Rui Costa will also do well and the TDS suits him as the past two editions have shown.

I am looking forward to see Sagan and Formolo today. Both look very determined ;).

I have a feeling Sagan is not going to softpedal next three days.

no mention of cadel evans yet?
izaguirre should also be good.
Cancellara can never be excluded in a TT. but i think Dennis, Doumolin would do well today.
i'm not sure abt Dowsett, Kristoff, Kreu.
Sagan will do top-10.

TM FTW. i expect him to go at least 1 kmph faster than the rest.

anyone betting sub-27 min for TM?

He really is in good form, but he said on his FB-page that he would not mind coming in second a win the GC. Seems as if he is really going for it this year. I know he came close a few years ago but nothing since.

Cancellara once won the TdS and Martin is a better climber (and seems in prime form) + there is no top climber around here. If he can gain substantial time in this TT, then he may have a shot at winning the overall.

But I'm afraid his team is too weak to support him properly in the last stage.

Looking forward to this.

Mollema and Kreuziger to smash it. Pinot to ride well.

But I'll stick my neck out and say Martin might just win.

Kreuziger, Mollema, Costa, ... I would not underestimate them. And then there is OPQS. Only Trentin was able to get over the hills. Everybody else was with Cav. So it will be a very hard task for Martin to take the GC.

Personally I don't have any doubts about the stage today but GC is a whole different story.
