Stage 1 is pretty much what I'd been wanting them to do for years. It's hits most of the area's 'race ride' roads, and stitches them together very closely to a local's typical long weekend ride. In both terrain and cycling culture, I also can't envision many small US towns better than Folsom for a TT.

Good job to the organizers!

Very interesting field. We should have a nice fight in the sprint finishes. Machado will win the overall with Wiggins second.

I really hope Wiggins will show up and perform big time here and start building for the tour! Would be awesome to see him get a win here!

Me too. :)

Wiggo will win it, but the most important thing:

The establishment of Daniel Jaramillo as the next big thing!

He will do a 'Acevedo' 2014 here in California

Can anybody drop Sir Wiggo on the climbs? A big gap?

I'm expecting at least Acevedo, Tend Dam and Machado to outclimb him. De LaCruz maybe. Don't know about the american guys.

Looking forward to the a performance by the Yates.

I ll be rooting for the Colombians. Jaramillo will certainly be good but hoping Acevedo is no longer held back by his knee and can fineally perform this year. Chaves is hopefully back to a good level and Bolivar is hopefully cured from his bronchitis.

and besides the Colombians gogo Lucas Euser!

All of these need about 60s gap (or more) to neutralize the 20km TT.

Of the yanks, Danielson, Stetina, Busche and Euser will probably lead the stars and stripes. I would be surprised if any of them can drop Wiggo significantly.
