Surely the pedestrian pace gotta go out the window with the following stage:

Come on guys, give the fans a show ffs.

Lack of coverage can be deceiving, seems pretty animated http://velonews.competitor.com/2014/02/gallery/gallery-2014-tour-of-oman-stage-3_317603

at least compared with what is televised, ruta del Sol, that was slightly yawnnn until now

And it would appear the riders have indeed stepped up today:

After 50km, break with 8:10

Huffman (AST), Popovych (TFR), Van Avermaet (BMC) and Wallays

Avg speed is 46.7 km/h.

Sure that it picked up? There was a lot of downhill in the first 50 k

well, lets see if we can get a new measurement after 2 hours.
Mainly, I was annoyed about the 37 km/h in a flat desert race yesterday, so perhaps I'm overreacting here.

edit: avg after 2 hours 45,6 km/h. 43 km/h or so now, well its better than yesterday.

No, Oman has been dull and uneventful until now. Lack of racing so far. Maybe today.

Spain is predictable, but much harder raced.

What did you expected with two flat stages and one hilly one?

I expected nothing. It was a response to somebody claiming the action was not dull.

My fault;)

Today and tomorrow there has to be some action. Vincenzo is here, so no worries.
