boonen has always been thus fit every year. except last year I can't remember a boonen not in terrific shape already in january

You sound like a Belgian newspaper. Boonen being good in Qatar is no news, Cancellara sucking at this point is more worrying.

Yeah, but not so bad... anyway, you're right that he is more of a peaking rider, whereas Boonen maintains more or less the same level from February onwards.

Hmmm...I'm not sure what Roelandts was waiting for, when Elmiger and Terpstra jumped he should've 100% been onto the wheel.

He just jumped onto van keirsbulck wheel. Maybe he didnt have the energy left or he gambled that schar would close the gap.

That was a great stage, and it's looking good for a repeat on Thursday. The wind is really playing ball this year.

Yeah. If anything, OPQS have to watch Roelandts. He can do a mean ITT as well. Especially on the short distances

Boom isn't some kind of miracle TTist. In fact, on distances longer than 10 k Terpstra is probably his equal, if not better.

Can't see Boom taking the sort of time needed, he only took 4 seconds in a slightly longer TT in Eneco tour.
