Quintana will prolly win this though, seems like a nice MTF. Why is it almost never used in the Vuelta?

It was used once, in 1998, and was one of four MTFs won that year by José María Jiménez (along with Pal, Cerler and Xorret del Catí). Not really sure why they don't use it more. Burgos itself hosts the Vuelta fairly regularly. I guess with it being the main climb of the main warmup race, they don't feel the need to pay up to put it in the main attraction too, nevertheless that's quite a shame as it's almost always provided great action.

As for sprinters and liking Pelucchi, Matteo Pelucchi is one of the good guys.

Forgot to praise Moreno yesterday. Very good riding and follow Quintanas wheel to his last accelerations and i think he even managed to close in a little screams class. Jrod better be prepared.

I'm not convinced. Movistar wont give up their hopes for Piti (he's a spaniard after all) in this his homerace and funny thing this route is more suited for even him to fail. The confirmation from Arrieta that they'll have two captains looks good on paper when it in reality should be handled to Nairo easily.

But lets see. Things may go down to a Wire if Valv has a very active first week.

that is not fair, we all know AC in 2013 is a third tier TTer, but AC in 2014 is much better.
