I doubt that! There is a real competition for Chris this time ;)

Yeah I know. It was a troll comment. Nah, he could come top 10 or something considering his form but no way will he contest the win.

I would love to see Wellens go back to back but not sure how he won it last year. Or Chavanel turning back the clock.

Benoot will do well I think, the tandems Benoot-Wellens and GVA-Gilbert can do interesting stuff, as well as the Tinkoff boys.

Great line-up to this race. There's a lot of people of which I really wonder how well they'll do on the cobbles (ex. Felline) and the specialist of week-long races, the allmighty Simon Spilak will also compete!

Yeah, looking forward to what Benoot can do. Wellens' shape has been pretty mediocre for quite some time now so I'd be surprised if he can do something.

His shape is getting better and better but i don't think the cobble stage suits him. The stage is harder than last year and the ardennes stage is not that hard. Tim was disappointed after exploring that stage.

Benoot will be good though (top 3 I think).

Longe-range attack in the Ardennes stage. Wellens was pretty far back in gc at that time so he was given a bit of leeway, but he was simply the strongest guy that day and the gap just kept on growing even when the top guys started pushing the pace. In the end he gained 50" after riding solo for like 20k I think. Amazing ride that was.

Impossible that he wins this year again though.

3 flat sprints, 1 semi-flat sprint (sittard stage), 1 short itt, 1 ardennes stage but not extremely hard and 1 cobble stage which basically decides the most.

Ideal for Boom, Stybar, Terpstra, heck even add in Gilbert, van Avermaet etc. Who's riding?

You can download the start list from

http://www.sport.be/enecotour/2015/en/deelnemers/ (8 riders + 2 reserves).

The Cote Saint-Roch and the Muur in the last couple of stages will be crucial. Lotto-Soudal will be strong (Wellens, Benoot). BMC and Etixx of course will be competitive (GvA, Phil, Boonen and "Alpha"philippe - he should be particularly strong on this course). Also look out for Boom and Felline.

Ouch. Luke Rowe has an English flag next to his name.

For me he's not on the startlist? Stannard, Eisel, Fenn, Nordhaug, Pate, Earle, Sutton, Viviani

Rowe isn't starting according to Sky website either, so looks like PCS is a dated provisonal. Shame, I don't get to cheer a Welshman that often. Sky's August teams have had a (perhaps unavoidable) "after the Lord Mayor's show" vibe so far, but maybe Stannard will confound that view and better his 18th on GC from '13. A stage for Viviani seems more likely than that.

Slightly ashmed to say I lolled at the Bananito crack.

I'm fond of NL and love these low countries races. The weather looks calm and warm initially, which may make the racing twitchy, but wind is forecast for later in the week.

Looking forward to this. Eneco Tour has improved massively the last 3 years since the inclusion of Muur van Geraardsbergen and then the more typical Ardennes stages. An ITT of 15 km is also a suitable distance for a balanced race. Eneco Tour has gone from being perhaps the least interesting one week tour on the WT-calendar to being one of the 4-5 most interesting one week tours.

Btw: Wouldn't it be possible to have a really hilly stage in Luxembourg? Looking at the Michelin maps, this seems like a definitive possibility.

And so does Andy Fenn.
