Thing is if Boucher wouldn't have gone in the break he would have been working at the front of the pack all day (like Tuesday). So it doesn't really make a difference. In fact it's probably easier for the 7 other guys.

In my opinion it's just the team searching a reason to get rid of him after his first angry tweets of being let go a couple days ago.

I think it is extremely reasonable to remove a rider who choices not to follow team orders. I'd take him off all rosters since he obviously has a bad attitude. Who needs that when your team is suffering in bike races? It cannot be good for morale to have a lame duck poisoning the team spirit.

Brändle not beating that time either! Starting to look good for LottoNL's first WT-win, might even be a 1-2.

Kelderman and Van Emden both faster then Malori. Good. So many people overrate Malori.
How's that?

For the past 2-3 years he has consistently been one of the 5 best tt'ers in the world.

Beginning of the year some claimed he was the best after Martin and better then f.e Dumoulin or Dennis or Cancellara. Which is in no way true.

Maybe someone said that but "so many people"? Not my impression

For me he is "best of the rest": Not at the same level as Martin, Dumoulin and Cancellara (when in shape) but when they are not there he is the best and most consistent.

Gilbert and Van Avermaet big favorites for the win though. They are good at both cobbles and hills. While Boom is only good at cobbles and Kelderman only at hills. Van Emden is reasonable on cobbles and bad on hilly terrain.

Gilbert and GVA did well to limit the damage that much

It will be interesting to see how they cooperate with each other though. Roughly in the same position, with the same qualities, they'll both want a shot at this but they can't go chasing each other. Looking forward to how this battle is gonna play out, with Boom and Kelderman in the mix as well. And Etixx was not very good today, they will have to make up quite a lot of time.
