Perfect thread to start when you have to study.

Men's road race (215.8km), Sunday 21th June.

16 laps (5 x 12.8km and 11 x 13.8km, which is just the same lap as the 12.8km one but with an extra 1km loop) with a 3.5km 'climb' in the first part of the lap. Top at 8km to go. No idea how steep it is but apparently it's pretty irregular with some false flat and steeper sections. Then a very fast downhill run-in to the finish.

It's live on Sporza from 10 a.m. but I don't know if this is broadcasted by Eurosport or something.

I'm going with Nizzolo FTW (although it's hard to tell based on this little info).

Looks like a pretty easy climb judging from the profile. 1.4 km of consistent climbing with altitude gain of ~75 meters. Mezgec could have a shot too.

Same circuits as the 5th stage of this years Tour of Azerbaijan (and used in previous years as well I believe) which was pretty fun so hopefully more of the same.

Benoot will rip the peloton apart so Boonen can win the sprint.

More like Boonen will get ripped apart as well then. And Benoot should always be a protected rider here.

Why hasnt GB sent anyone?

Lack of available competitive riders were this not smack bang in the middle of TDF prep Cummings and Dowsett would do the TT and Cav, G, Stannard, Rowe and Dowsett would race the RR.

I'd love to say they're not sending anyone because of a political protest, but I think because all their riders are targeting different races.

The certain winner Matthieu v.d. Poel withdrew because he's not feeling well.

Atleast it's not sure who wins now. Makes it more interesting.

How pathetic is it to have fences alongside the road for quite some parts of the course but have like 5 spectators actually watching?
