Maybe he has a dislocated shoulder or some other injury but kept it secret

You know what he's been keeping secret? The fact that he's not a GC rider in a GT.

Or, they're not exactly great TT riders? Kruisjwijk started 10 minutes before Porte and was a minute faster than him and he doesn't even have any reason to try hard.

Seems plausible, though I do wonder why he'd even start in that case. Mental weakness can creep up on you, but if your body is broken why not pull out and prepare for the TDF.

Porte needs to work on his cadence.

I think Wiggins and Lance can help with that. And some pointers from Chris Comical would probably be a plus as well.

I don't like Porte but don't knock Porte's time until you see Contador's, Uran's etc. The wind is probably up like people are saying!

Until Contador and co go through, you don't know where he is.
