Yeah he's going so great that he hasn't caught Landa. I think it's more that Porte and Uran are off than Contador is really on.

Landa is in sight. It took Indurain around 20 km to catch an equal TT´er to Landa by the name of Lance Armstrong in 1994.

He is doing fine.

Seriously why is everyone ignoring the time set by Jurgen Vandenbroeck?

What's more likely? T
hat VBD and Contador are both racing out of their minds.
Or that Porte and Uran, who have both shown a lot of weakness the last 2 weeks, aren't at their best.

Two weeks ago...

Yes VBD is really good, I referred to that myself earlier on. But people are pretending this is 2009 Contador, and I'm sorry but he wouldn't have gotten himself beat by Spilak and Zakarin.

this is Contador from 2009. full mutant.
He will be even better in July!

He won't be. Honestly I think there's a good chance he's the best GT rider in the world right now (unfortunately we haven't really had a true matchup between the current top 4 since, well ever really).

But there's no way his effort in the Giro won't affect him in the TDF. Quintana/Nibali/Froome will still have a far better preparation.

Now the fact that the will probably have this Giro wrapped up after today will help him a lot, no need to exert himself in the last week, he can just follow and have 1 explosion to show he's truly the best and conserve as much as he can.

This can be dismissed already as wishful thinking.

Don't post here often but it's disappointing to see the bile towards Porte for what seems to be no for no reason other than he races for team sky. what a bunch of gloating *** you lot can be, really reduces the quality of this board.
Have you seen the amount of whining that has gone on because of his being penalized? Porte, who seemed like a nice enough guy back in 2010-11, actually comes across in the last two years or so as pretty short-fused and self-satisfied, and the fact that he rides for Sky only exacerbates that.
