JVDB will be close to Kiryienka! He is already going faster at the moment, closing the gap. Curious what he can do the last 15 minutes.

Lol no..

This can be dismissed already as wishful thinking.

Not a Contador fan, so hardly wishful thinking. Just saying if anything helps Contador it will be that he won't be challenged in the final week, as it's by far the hardest. In the end the Giro will still take it's toll on him, but the less he has to exert himself the better.

Aru is really doing a great ride. He's going to be a force once he gets a little more mature.

Just for the record, I don't read ASOIAF and I don't watch GoT. Not my type of thing at all. But the nickname for Nieve stuck and I brought it up. I associate the phrase more with Mikel Nieve than anything to do with fantasy literature or TV, which doesn't appeal to me in the slightest.

Porte slower than the Bastard of the North, whose time trial skills are toxic.

Jon Snow is riding?
yep, he has Sky skinsuit :p :D ...but he havent cut his hair so he is 10W slower :D

You do not want Jon Snow catching you in the TT. Might just lop off your head.

I will say Jon Snow is about the only thing that could make me root for Sky!

Ok, I was wrong, he won't be close but it is a good ITT for JVDB for sure.

Who's the Bastard of the North?

Mike Nieve, nieve is basque for snow I think, GoT reference
Nieve is Castilian for snow, Elurra is the Basque word.

lol, don't pretend you speak Basque :D
I don't, but I've been in the region enough to know the word for snow ;)

Same as "euria" - rain. Though that more or less just requires having visited.

I know a fair few bits of vocabulary in Basque, but forming sentences and getting correct grammar? Forget about it.

Which is a pity btw, :p really Divine books (bar 4th) and very good series.

Great ride by König. Innterested in seeing what he can do as Sky's leader.

Also, wtf is with the people saying Conta is back to 2009 level? A minute up on a terrible Porte halfway doesn't suggest that at all.

Porte beating Visconti by 2 whole seconds. Sky's brilliant tactics of waiting for today for Porte to deliver a hammer blow are working perfectly
