Sad thing for Italians is there will be no photos of Aru smiling in rosa; worry at start, pain during ride, grimace at finish.

Wind costs Contador the stage but in a way its good to him since it made it even harder conditions giving him an even greater margin over his opponents.

Contador would have won this easily with same conditions as Kiry. Shame

I really feel bad about it as I bet on Contador but when I went to bet on Kiri his odds had fallen to 12/1 from 20/1 and then I fell asleep

When Sanchez got to the third time check, the odds for Sanchez weren't updated. I cashed out on Kiryienka for a $370 profit (sacrificing $130). Then I put $15 on Contador @ $15 and $5 on Sanchez @ $101.

Suffice to say I was hoping that Kiryienka lost.

You and me both my friend.

Though I only bet with small money and was going to put 30p on Kiri so I only lost like £6.

Seems the commentators are ignoring the fact that Contador finished behind LLS. Sure the wind changed a lot between Kyrienka and Contador, but how much did they change between LLS and Contador. He put in a very good time, but under equal circumstances the 3 of them would have been very close I reckon.
