Gratz to Wellens. Yates really underestimated the finish

Nice gambling by Wellens as well with the group of chasers coming realllly close.

Wellens getting better and better. Impressive.

Costa 3rd and I just watched Gesink winning the bunch sprint :)

You clearly forgot about Gesink the uphill sprinter specialist when he's racing in Canada

Played it really cool, because was in the worst position.
Waited, waited, waited some more. Looked him straight in the eye. Nice.

No sprinters left at the end by the way?

This was 2011 Déjà Vu. Wellens played Costa, Yates was Fédrigo and Costa was Gilbert. Great finish.

WELLENS!!! Beast. Good warm-up for his first monument victory in 3 weeks.

He has a real chance IF it rains.

I don't think so, with the new course real climber is gonna take it. Great win by the way, Belgium will be ridiculously strong in Richmond

I want to see a 3 month gt, where kruijswijk demolishes the climbs from the 5th week onward and where gesink wins all the bunchsprints in the 3rd month

This is already one of my favourite photographs. Would be perfect with the Belgian flag.

Didn't know. That's a shame, he would be good outsider

Huge talent. Much better racing than in Quebec, unfortunately nobody could see it :p

Thank god no Yates!

Did they take your KOM or something?

I am not a big fan of Orica, with their fake "cool" attitude, that's all! I cannot really explain with I like or dislike a given rider, some of this stuff must be irrational, I admit ;) .
I sense this huge hype growing around the Yates brothers, and I am afraid I will see a lot of it in most classics and stage races for the next 10-12 years... sigh...

Only 64 riders finished. Most DNF'd. Today was a good day. Missed the rain already.
