2015 Paris Nice, Stage 5: Saint-Etienne - Rasteau 192K

Yet another instance of Ben Swift getting a tired one man lead-out, making it to about 15th wheel with 1km to go, then a big corner comes, the two Sky riders are obviously way too deep to maintain their position, and he ends up having to sprint squashed up against the barriers with 500m to go, and finishes in about 25th place. He ought to leave Sky if he ever wants more than two or three wins (and miraculous ones at that) per year at lesser races.

seems like De Gendt is amusing himself again, hope he can continue on this season...
A shame he doesn't contend for GC's anymore. That attacking style would certainly spice things up on the GC side of this stage races. Really smart guy; I hope that at least he stage hunts like a boss in the GT's. Both him and Wellens are very entertaining riders, hopefully they don't have to ride for JvB or something like that...

That would suck, they should be stagehunters in a GT.

Actually JvdB was a very attacking rider earlier in his career. Until he rode top 10 in the Giro. Then he started to ride as a classification rider, with the exception of the Tour where he lost a lot of time early on. So he was not much different than Wellens in the early stages of his career.

Wellens might still change to a boring rider once he rides a good GT...

Talking about Wellens... He's virtual leader just now. Strong 25 riders group including Slagter, Quintana, Yates, Bakelandts and Wellens is 2 minutes ahead of main pack. Chavanel's trying to pursue the first group. May be great stage.
