Decent end to a disappointing stage I guess.

If Froome made that crash it would have been a great stage :p

But seriously yea i guess not hard enough. Nibali tried though, but froome looked amazing and Contador's team closed the gaps perfectly.

Nibali was pissed off on Italian TV

He should be. He was expecting to take copious amounts of time on his GC rivals and came up empty-handed (so far as I can tell).

I don't get the complaining. Exciting stage, well raced by all the contenders. One eliminated with bad luck. No one gets hurt, and a worthy, empathetic winner. Excellent stage.

Those looking for carnage strike me as a bit negative.

What u guys have gotts realise is that The GC favs wudda been practising their asses off on the cobbles for the last few months so not that surprising they can now ride them competently

This is probably the forum's happiest moment after Levi Leipheimer won Suisse.

Super win! The stage, although maybe a little disappointing, was still better than the average tdf mountain stage.
