But seriously yea i guess not hard enough. Nibali tried though, but froome looked amazing and Contador's team closed the gaps perfectly.

He should be. He was expecting to take copious amounts of time on his GC rivals and came up empty-handed (so far as I can tell).

I don't get the complaining. Exciting stage, well raced by all the contenders. One eliminated with bad luck. No one gets hurt, and a worthy, empathetic winner. Excellent stage.

Those looking for carnage strike me as a bit negative.
