Ironically it was a FDJ rider who did a huge pull for Thomas (though meant for Demare) that helped Thomas bridge again with the first group  they better get their priorities right because Demare can only win sprints against a C-field.

It is certainly nice to see. The riders he has beaten in the U23 WC are already having some great results (Yates brothers, Alaphilippe, Meintjes, Ewan, Formolo). It's hard to believe this guy bridged to Alaphilippe, dropped him on a climb and soloed to a victory less than 2 years ago. It must be a little frustrating to him, but he is smart, he is a year or two younger than most and he knows he has time. He had some problems with injuries, too. I'm sure his time will still come.

You could say the same about Davide Villella, his 2013 season was amazing, winner of Giro Ciclistico della Valle d'Aosta with 2 stage wins and then he got third in Emilia and won the Piccolo Giro di Lombardia as a Stagiaire for Cannondale, both guys have also raced on the same teams since then.

Yep, Garmin's certainly one of the problems.

Sometimes it seems Garmin and LottoNL and IAM are on totally different levels then the rest. They are going backwards there

They make Lampre look like Etixx.

Is this the first time that jersey for points or other similar competition is black? It's not only ugly, it also does not stand out as it should.

And it used to be quite nice and original...
