My prediction: Sky is going to destroy every team on the climb, Froome will attack about 5km before the finish, every GC contender will be easily dropped and the difference between Froome and the rest will be huge on the finish.

Yes, I'm a pessimist.

Still over 11 minutes and a bit more than 50 km remaining. For the old Fedrigo, this could've been enough.

The peloton could still take like 7-8 minutes before the climb.

Yeah, if they're motivated to do so. But it's not sure that will happen with all that is left to come.

What do we know about Vanbilsen climbing skills? Has he ever done anything like this in a pro race?

Roger Tréhin: "Eight minutes lead are needed"

Questioned during the race by France Televisions, Bretagne-Séché Environnement directeur sportif Roger Tréhin said: "Eight minutes lead will be needed at the bottom of the last climb to have a chance of winning the stage. I've told both Pierrick and Kenneth to ride harder because the peloton has accelerated."

Prediction: He has seven minutes, gets caught in the last kilometer. Because that's how this Tour is going for France.

Movistar keen to bring it back. Vamos Nairito.

Seems like the only reason they would think about doing this, is so he can win the stage and get those 10 bonus seconds. Right?

No boni, only the stage.

Edit: wrong, boni seconds as well.

How big has the gap to be so that the break has a chance to win this? Could 5 minutes be enough?

Nope, I think they won't make it.

They just want to make sure that Sky doesn't waste their energies :D

For a 30 year old Fedrigo, yes, but for the now 36 year old Fedrigo, I doubt it.
