Looks like racing will occur 4 days in Summit County. Days 2,3,4 & 5.
A-Basin ski area is most of the way up Loveland Pass. That will likely be considered a mountain top finish. The climb from the base (next to Keystone ski area and the Snake River Saloon) is about 4.5 miles. The entire pass is 8 miles and tops out at 11,990'. It's about 7% with a couple ramps up to 9%.
That's My home pass, favorite, above tree line pass.
The route to Aspen (how's Your Aspen?) will likely go over Independence Pass. Expect a party up there, over 12,000' high, in the high Rockies.

I biked Rabbit Ears Pass round trip from Steamboat this summer for the first time. It isn't as high but when I biked it I had a head wind both ways. There are small black flags on the tall snow poles and it seemed like the exact moment I reached the summit those flags blew the other way. I couldn't even hit 50 mph on the steep return. The first, what is it 7 1/2 miles out of town are an honest steep and consistent climb. After the initial summit, which isn't the summit, there is another 7.5 miles of rollers with some small walls to the actual summit. Then downhill rollers to Kremmling, then along the Blue River on one side with the beautiful Gore Range on the other side of Highway 9 for 30 some miles of mellow climbing (usually with the wind) and then A-Basin.
My favorite ski area.
