I was of the same opinion, but talking about this possibility in another forum, they told me that the possibility of having cars and motos passing 198 times through the albero "sand" (instead of 22) may have have concerned the organisation because it could deteriorate it.

I just notice that Quintana drove over the line first, does that mean, that if he Movi had won the TTT they wanted Quintana in the lead? That surprises me

Yep....a very underwhelming stage. It should all change very soon...the field here is very good.
