I don't think he will do so for this stage. This is just a stage with a different end then usual. No ramp, no flat, but a very long climb with a low gradient. A grind to the finish.

If this was an important mountain stage that they messed up by using too much inbetween climbs... Well then LS comes here to say that they should've used the Alto UNGAbunga inbetween the Alto Cojones and the Alto Cono to prevent 15km flat. He would be right about tht as well.

Valverde ftw! as Katusha looks unable to use their dynamic duo strength.Roche might try again,maybe this time he'll get it right.

They never do the past years. Purito would have won already a stage this Vuelta without Moreno, i'm sure about that.

But Bala on a more difficult climb? I don't know, he's not that good atm. Froome is stronger.

I don't expect Froome to bother and Sky can play the Roche card again.Would be fun if he'll go for it,though.

If Valverde get some seconds here, some seconds there, that he didnt do last year, he become a very important candidate for the victory (he need a good day in Burgos, a everybody who want to win la Vuelta this year)

But yesterday he lost 8 seconds to Froome, on a stage where he always should take that amount of time on Chris. And on Caminito del Rey he also didn't got time on him.

The best opportunities are already gone for Bala to take 'some seconds here, some seconds there'. Today is a chance, but Alpujarra and Cumbre are already chances for Froome to take some time.

Yesterday Valverde just losed time on claiffication, no more, it was a mistake, not strenth... about Caminito, he explained he hadnt a good day after his training for la Vuelta... that is normal.. he won one stage and this final is no so different to that...

Anyway I just said is the perfect day for Valverde, not that he is going to win or he dont lose tome today...that is anothr thing.

it is a good day as well for Purito, dan i Moreno, Dan MArtin, roche, domoulin, etc.. but the day is much more than the last climb, it i a demanning day and more with this pace at the begining.

For all the complainers here..what kind of stage would you prefer? A flat stage to a bunch sprint, one of those not worth watching until the final km stages?

Surely this is EXACTLY what we're getting, except with uphill sprints?

The Vuelta is the least preferred of my Gt's. But if you ask me what you prefer between a flat sprint and a hilly sprint I'll stay with the second one.

Besides the Vuelta has made no secrets about the type of race that they want. And from the looks of it they don't want flat sprints.
