According to several people on twitter, Contador attacked, sky set pace to bring him back, then Aru attacked and nobody chased, then Contador he attacked again 1km from the top, Froome went with him and they slowed down to be caught. Then Bardet went.
Sounds sensible.

Why should bmc not pull a bit, Porte is second place and only a few seconds behind froome, he obviously feels good enough to take a bit out of him. You lot fantasise about this magical anti sky alliance far too much

BMC strategy is puzzling to say the least, its not like SKY wont pull at the front if BMC doesnt...so whats the point of pulling the peloton?

Thank you for the nice recap.

You are wrong because i like froome but yesterday porte was dumb. Froome wanted to distance contador and porte should only follow froome's wheel.

Perhaps they saw what Contador did in the Dauphine a couple of years ago. Waiting for Froome and Sky to do all the work, only to realise too late that he didn't have the legs. At which point he'd already lost the race.

If Porte feels good and thinks he can take 10 seconds off Froome, then BMC should work and try to win the race.

Don't know what you're talking about. He's got the best looking legs in the entire peloton and is a wee bit similar to a younger Hernâni Brôco. I.e, he's fabulous.

Sky are going to have to go some on the last climb to prevent Bardet from taking the lead. Three minutes now. It's not going to be like reeling in some peloton fodder who has been slaving in the break all day.

if BMC were pulling for Tinkoff i do wonder if the same folk would be moaning.

Stop making it about Tinkoff. They are questioning why a team would pull when SKy would pull anyway and destroy the BMC doms

How is pulling for Sky going to help Porte beat Froome (as if he stood a chance...)? On the contrary they should save their breath to help launch Porte later.

Bardet is only 1'34 behind in the GC. And BMC has actually stopped working. Could a French coup actually amount to something?

One would hope French TV motos would be a bit helpful for Bardet today.
