Imagine that with a top form Nibali throw in. **** we missed out with the 2014 tour, still not fully over it

Keep in mind that froome and contador would both be 2.30 behind. It would have been carnage every stage.

I don't think i'll ever get over it.

Dear lord. Tell me. What do i have to do, to see this again?

dauphine14-st2-Froome-Contador.jpg

Now imagine Froome going that nuts after Poels, G and Landa haven softened the rest up.

And now imagine Froome going that nuts from the bottom of the climb mano a mano because nobody's got any team mates left.

Super teams don't increase entertainment at all. If anything, having JVDB Nibs Kelderman and Talansky drop every time Froome attacked and join back on made it even more entertaining given the chance of one of them slipping away and nicking the stage

Re: 2016 Criterium du Dauphiné, 2.UWT, June 5-12

1. Contador
2. Froome
3. Pinot (winner stage 6)

I don't like the prologue: there should have been a few kilometers of flat before the murito. Pinot is likely to suffer, like at VaPV. Nice final three-stage stretch.

Re: 2016 Criterium du Dauphiné, 2.UWT, June 5-12

It will be very interesting. The ramp in the final climb of stage 3 has to be brutal. The kilometer is 13.9% steep and only half of the km is marked black so the first half of the kilometer is less than 9% steep which means that the 2nd 500 meters are at least 19% steep

Yeah, I saw that. The Dauphine is starting a new habit of finding all the steep ramps that are apparently not suitable for the Tour.

Surprised everyone's gone with Contador Froome or vica versa 1-2.

If Froome turns up in similar condition to last year, I can see Pinot Porte and AC all finishing ahead of him, and given he's targetting Rio and the Vuelta later, and that his prep worked perfectly well last year, I see no reason to change.

1) Pinot
2) Contador
3) Porte

Contador to let Pinot go and only realise that Froome isn't his main rival in the Dauphine once it's too late

Basically a 2014 Courchevel scenario? I agree Pinot could be good with his performance in Tour de Suisse from last year in mind.
