just watched the stage....

Thanks to the Lord a nasty/regrettable crash never took place by the horrendous way the last 500m sprint came about- just reckless & careless riding....

Young sprinters are not allowed to develop, guys. Here are the rules of Pistolero's world.

Of course they're allowed to develop. Point is, he's not top sprinter yet. We saw that at the Tour this year.

Ask 20 random Belgians or Dutch people on the street who Dylan Groenewegen is. I'm pretty sure most people wouldn't know who the hell you're talking about. Hence he's a no-name at this point in his career. Not sure why you guys argue otherwise. He has only 6k followers on twitter.

Love it. This tops that time you said San Sebastián was less prestigious than Strade Bianche because the former only had 8 pages of discussion here in the forum.

Believe it or not, someone's popularity is reflected on their social media pages. ;)
Welcome back Pistrollero!

Does anyone else see Ferrari and Bouhanni causing a pileup in the sprint on the first stage? Lucky Cav won't be there to add to the fun
When was the last time Bouhanni caused a mass-crash? He's no Cav.
He hasn't yet, but we all know that it's a matter of time. Ask Matthews how close he can come to causing one.

They should always try to get a mini AGR, mini RVV and a mini LBL in the Eneco Tour. Add a short time trial and 2 flat stages and you can have a nice stage race where different types of riders show up and might win.

Why is everybody falling over Pistolero for calling Groenewegen a no-name? Apart from the nationals he hasn't won that many impressive races (and the nationals this year sucked). Doesn't mean he can become a top 5 sprinter in the years to come.

Great sprint, love it when their are no teams to control the sprint.
Kittel & Greipel just need a train to win.

I missed pistolero at his best.
Me too, I miss those fierce attacks and the domination in the mountains, but those times are long gone by now it seems

Sprint Fest, general rehearsal for the Worlds. Even a TTT. All good & well

Greg Van Avermaet expresses again his disappointment about the lack of an Ardennes stage (in De Morgen)

But where has the traditional Ardennes stage gone? I enjoy racing there because it's where I can make the difference. It would just have given me more chance to win this tour. I have a good TT in the legs today. Further I only see one interesting stage: the one in Geraardsbergen

If twitter is what we're going by, Cav is the most followed active cyclist, and Lance is the only cyclist with more followers than Cav ;)

Jack Bauer 16 seconds faster than 2 years ago, Kragh Andersen with a time of 4th (Quinziato)

Are the live results anywhere? On official page, I can only see best 3 riders.

so GvA at least 20s slower then Dennis? Have just Dennis become BMC's captain for GC?

With the TT and easier profile he always had a chance of being the captain imo.
