I do not want to open another thread with pool but so lets do some pools within this one. :D

1. Which team is going to win TTT?
2. By how many second will BMC be faster then Tinkoff.

Probably BMC. At least Sagan will ride aggressively in the final stage if the time gap is big. And I can only see someone like GVA being able to follow him.

Added to that, Sagan already has a 30 sec advantage over GVA. How much can Tinkoff realistically lose to BMC in the team time trial, when their team is built up by good roleurs / allrounders? 35 seconds would be my guess, even if the team time trial is fairly long

Sagan now has 593 points and Nairo has 609. 1 more stage and 9th overall and it will be a tie. Anything more and Sagan takes the lead, forcing Nairo to race Lombardia if he wants to win. In case of a tie, the tie breaker is number of victories, so Sagan will take the tie breaker.

Winning what?

I'm pretty sure Quintana couldn't care less.

for me too many points in grand tours...........sagan has been far busier/
won more this year...............

and what a great win/exciting stage conclusion today.........

Quintana has 10 more racedays than Sagan so far this year, and other than his DNF in GP Miguel Indurain, his worst result in all of the races he has participated in was 4th in the Colombian RR (at least 3rd in all other races). I'm no Quintana fanboy, but one has to be fair. He has been competitive from January to September and raced a fair amount (the primary reason why he has raced more than Sagan, is that Sagan has reduced the amount of racedays this year).

You're ignoring the fact that Sagan raced a few mountain-bike races, including the Olympic race, which meant he couldn't ride the Vuelta.

If it were up to me I'd give Quintana penalty points for the way he rode in the Tour this year.

TT emphasised Dennis is favorite for the World Championship.
Not sure about favourite, but he'll be up there. Dumoulin, Kiriyenka and especially Martin only get better as the course gets longer. Dennis is starting to look like the sub-15km TT king though, judging by his results since last year.

Dennis went better than I thought in the Olympics considering the hilly nature of the course - No mechanical and he wins bronze or silver - Doha is bone flat which suits Dennis - As long as Dennis has no mechanical.

Think Garfoot will medal in the women's TT - The Olympic team were very confident at the Olympics but she got sick a few weeks out - I think Garfoot would have missed a medal, illness or not, because of the parcours -

So add what, 3 racedays where he rode MTB (on a pro level)? Are you also going to count track racedays as well for the riders where that is relevant?

Unlike Quintana in the races he participated in, Sagan wasn't competitive in the (pro) MTB races he rode...

Yeah, and that's why he came back to Europe after just couple of days in Colombia

Quintana wasn't competitive in the Tour either. Only made it in the top ten once.

Gosh.
Incredible.

So only 3 riders were competitive...?

Funnily enough, Bardet didn't make the top-10 in any stage where Quintana didn't also or where both of them didn't get the same time (so a group sprint made the difference).

Bardet won a stage after a daring attack that catapulted him on the podium. Nobody expected Bardet to be on the podium, so he performed better than everyone expected him to do.

What's incredible is that you can be a fan of such a boring rider, lol. He wouldn't have won the Vuelta either without Contador making things exciting once again.

While getting 3rd in the overall =! competitive

Goes to show you how weak the field was this year. :)
