Must say it's only expectable that a track specialist wins against a 60kg climber in a sprint on 2% section.

TBF the last 300m was around 10 % I think. But Contador is still one of the baddest sprinters i've ever seen :p

Why is there still this much talk about Contador, Thomas, Porte... Wake up guys...Zakarin was the strongest and he is the winner of the day. Congrats.

Zaka got dropped by Bertie earlier on the harder gradients.

Anyway, Henao was the strongest.

It's important to be first to the line, not in the middle of the climb :)

He came back and got the win, that's all that matters for today. Yes Henao was also strong, so was Conti, so was Thomas.

Exactly...
3 weeks ago on a similar finish Contador lost 20s to Thomas

Yes, it was actually almost the same. Thomas started sprinting full on with around 400 metres and in the end someone came around him. In Algarve it was LLS, here Zakarin. The difference was that Contador cracked there, but here he did the best he could. Still, second in GC is a very good result, but I am sure he wil try sth tomorow.

Henao was gold for Thomas today.
He was easily the strongest man in the race today.

Agree totally Henao was the strongest climber today

You couls see Porte is not the man he was last year

Contador did not have anything to reply to Thomas & SKY and of course Zakarin
Gotta say if Contador could not get away from Henao he won;t get away from Froome or Quintana

Zakarin followed wheels for all but 10 meters in the entire stage.

I thought he joined the front group on his own, on a less steep part with significant headwind?
Perhaps he jumped across alone, I don't know what the wind would have been like.

I just don't care for him so it sounded better to me that he just followed wheels all day.

He deserves more credit than I gave him.
