2016 Strade Bianche, new route

Starts in Siena now. 24 kms shorter, with one sector less but more kms of sterrato overall. From Monte S.Marie the finale is the same.

EDIT: Actually it seems there's a small deviation between S.Marie and the next sector, with a little climb that wasn't there before.

I like the fact that the 3rd section of sterrato is pretty long and that the 4th one comes right after it.
Why did they change the route?
Any news about Roma Maxima/Giro del Lazio?

Who knows. Probably Siena just wanted the start, too.
No news about Roma Maxima yet.

Strade Bianche always have an unique line-up of both cobblestone and Ardennes riders.

Will the shorter but more intense route be better for the punchers? A hardman like Vanmarcke should be better on a longer course.
