Yah they clearly wanted to test where he was and see if they could break him, but he's fine for a day like this.
Bala is still there no? Nairito isn't isolated. But my eyes are very old.
Yeah he isn't isolated, but the general sentiment that they burnt their support to try and see if Contador would crack remains the same

Moose McKnuckles said:Look at that cadence from GVA. If you tilted him sideways, he'd take off like a helicopter.

Not sure it was anything to do with Contador. It's not like he's going to be a threat to Quintana anyway.
Indeed. I've always found it strange how some teams are willing to sacrifice their entire team to get a flat sprint, while almost no teams are willing to sacrifice anyone on stages like this, even if they on paper would have a great chance of winning.Popchu said:I really don't get it why Etixx didn't had one rider pulling in the peloton, for an eventual stage win or yellow jersey. Even if Alaphilippe is bad, you still have Martin.

Looks like they just misjudged it, didn't think GVA was so strong. You could say the same about Contador. If they really wanted to drop him, they'd have gone hard on both climbs, not just trying to drop him on one of them.Eclipse said:If they wanted the stage and yellow they'd have stopped the gap going out to 15mins in the first place rather than just absolutely hammering on a single climb
Fingers crossed! Come one Berto!!ILovecycling said:this imhoCarols said:Yeah but Berto has the full on head tilt goingRiding on pure guts.
He should hold on on last climb, the worst is behind him!
LaFlorecita said:Alberto on Kreuziger's wheel at the moment, Kreuziger looks mega strong by the way.
