All in all it was an improvement, they should keep the Gibraltar Road MTF and the great Laguna Seca stage, I didn't mind the South Lake Tahoe stage, it was a nice transitional stage and the altitude adds another element.
The circuit on the penultimate stage was pointless, but overall it was a step in the right direction, but I still don't know if moving the race to May was the right decision.

It's a shame Powless lost a few places in GC on a totally flat stage. Was it through his own fault or not?
