Contador should win this easily. Wont be hard enough to get the roja though
Is there really the need to go through this before every stage with some kind of a climb. Contador hasn't won any normal stage easily since about 2011.
2014 just called. It says hello. That while the 2016 spring is texting me begging for attention
Fair point, if he wheel sucks Froome for 90% of the climb and then sprints away at the end he might win.
Spring 2016? 'Normal stages' exclude TTs :D

Seriously though, I think he has a good chance of winning and it would be great to see him make a statement early in the race. But these predictions before every single stage where he has the remote possibility of doing well are pretty tiresome.
well, in tirreno 2014 he won that hard stage with a very steep climb on the end , where is the wheelsucking there?
See, this is the problem. Contador is one of the best riders of his generation; of course you can point to times when he has done well in similar stages in the past (even though in this particular stage he was far from the fastest on the actual steep climb). The fact that he has done well in a similar stage once or twice in his career in the past, doesn't mean that he's easily going to win every stage in the future with a similar profile.

Especially not now his performances seem to be in terminal decline.

He's just trolling, it's pretty easy to spot the sarcasm in the post. Anyway, as jens_attack says, hopefully Contador will be able to follow Froome, but either way the differences won't be big. Valverde should take the stage win.

Give me a murito where piti was the best? Cant think of any. I give you enough respect that you dont think mur de huy is a real murito.

Because, of course, that would completely destroy your argument.

Contador has destroyed piti many times on steeper stuff. Mende, PV 14, vuelta 12...

Sure, and he's also been beaten by him on Mende, Arrate and other steep finishes in recent years. It's nonsense to say one is a big favourite over the other - especially when we have no real idea about the form of either of them at the moment.

Mur de huy is like 8% average

And last 300m is false flat.

Thats a murito bro?

Mur de Huy is 1.3km at 9.6% with first 400m at 5% which indicates that last 900m are way above 10%. It's a murito like it or not!

To be fair Valverde totally bossed that stage, that was really impressive.

what means 'easily'? effortlessly, playfully or probably 'not breaking sweat'? lol, I realize overwhelming majority of forum members don't f**king care about what effort riders put in, as cyclists were born to entertain, but it really goes too far...

In 2014 he won "easily" on Malhao, twice in Tirreno and in Pais Vasco. In 2015 he won comfortably in Ruta del Sol. This year, he won easily on Malhao. And why would TTs not count?

So Mirador de Ézaro is the official definition of a murito and therefore every climb which is slightly different can't be a murito anymore?
