2017 season riders schedule

The Giro move largely depends on how he's planning to ride them. He says he's going for the Tour, but I can't see Quintana half-assing a Giro. If he peaks for the Giro, it's bad for both the Giro and the Tour, unless Nibali finds the form of old. I'm not really excited about the move from that point of view. I do applaud Quintana for looking at other months than July.

Rafal Majka's preliminary schedule for the first half of the season:

- Mallorca Challenge;
- Dubai Tour;
- Tirreno-Adriatico;
- Volta a Catalunya;
- Fleche Wallonne;
- Liege-Bastogne-Liege;
- ? (TBC);
- Tour de France.

I lied. I actually like the move, can't wait for the Giro now. Gonna be a long winter!

The big question is what he will ride now. I say T-A almost is a given at this point, probably along with Catalunya or Pais Vasco and I'd assume he won't ride Romandie/Tour of the Alps or whatever since he didn't in 2014. But only 2 races doesn't seem like too much, interesting what approach they will take. Maybe the race in Argentina, but they said in 2014 it hampered his spring in the Giro-year.

Also, it opens up the door for Valverde to lead the Vuelta one last times. And what better year than this 2017 with some carbon copies of 2009's stages, I like it!
I think it's pretty standard to ride one small race stage race in february, and then 2 of PN/TA, Calunya or PV. Especially if you're to ride the Tour afterward.

He actually said he will start his season in Spain in January and February in, so I assume he is gonna race on Mallorca or/and Valenciana which makes sense. He has good memories from Mas de la Costa. :p
Or maybe Andalucia.

Vuelta a Murcia
Clásica de Almería
Vuelta a Andalucía
París-Nice
Vuelta al País Vasco
Amstel Gold Race
Fleche Wallonne
LBL
Tour de Romandie
Tour de Suisse
TOUR

Its a very good schedule. I fancy him to win one of P-N, Pais Vasco or Romandie. Also excited to see how well he goes in L-B-L and whether his plan is to be a stage hunter or actually try for the GC in TdF. Exciting that he has changed squad, I must say..

Edit: Gaviria to smash the Italien third string sprinters in the Giro!

You'll see Cavendish, Greipel and Kittel - Viviani always rides the Giro - It will be a strong sprinter's field.

Nope. No Kittel if Gaviria leads Quick Step. Greipel nearly *** up his whole Tour this year with too good shape at the Giro. So he's certainly gonna focus on the French race this time around. There's a slightly chance for Cav. But unless he really decides to race, Gaviria is THE big favorite to win the red jersey!

NIzzolo and the Lampre sprinter will be there too

As gifted as he is, it'll be his first GT ever, probably after a hard spring campaign. Don't take for granted he will get to Milano.

What - The Giro is the perfect lead up to the TDF - Ride 2 weeks and then abandon - You are underestimating Gaviria's ability to win non-sprint stages.

The link says something very different than Nirvana's list. ;)

I'm a big fan of Moscon and am very curious what he will do next year. The second year is often the most difficult for neopros, as they are thrown into the big races.

He changed the page in the meantime, this morning when he posted the link of his new site on his Facebook profile the list was the one i wrote here.

Michael Valgren's 2017 schedule:

Tour Down Under, Het Nieuwsblad, Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne, Paris-Nice, Milano-Sanremo, Waregem, E3 Harelbeke, Gent-Wevelgem, Tour de Flanders, Tour de Basque Country, Amstel Gold Race, Fleche Wallone, Liege-Bastogne-Liege, Criterium du Dauphine, Rud du Sud and Tour de France.

Astana seems to have confirmed him for TDF now, as he told himself in an interview with danish TV2. Will be interesting to see him in the spring classics as well.

Nice schedule but Romandie seems a bit overkill having done all those classics. I think AGR would really suit him, more so than LBL at this stage in his career, so it would be nice to see him do that as well.
