Excellent leadout for Bennett. I thought he was let go too early, but nobody even came close to the line.

Impressive but then again expected by Bennett. Van Aert a strong second.

Impressive from Bennett.

Hodeg is really hopeless at positioning in a sprint.
Hodeg is a hopeless sprinter, not just positioning. It's also speed, stamina, tactics and mentally vulnerable

Hodeg is a joke. DQS has to deliver him from his illusion. This kid has no business in these races. A while ago i was thinking maybe he should just be a leadout for Jakobsen, but he's so clumsy that he would mess that up as well.

Bennett convincingly and Van Aert now doing mass sprints as well, lol.

Fantastic job by Archibald. Thought he'd left it to late to bring him up and then thought he went to early but he timed it to perfection.

Cort can't fight for position at ALL :D

He was right on Bennetts wheel, like he was supposed to, and Hodeg just pushed him out of the way and took the wheel, leaving Cort in the wind and forced to back off.

Time for DS Lars Michaelsen to do some special bunch sprint training with that kid, because if he does not learn to fight for his position, he will never win a bunch sprint again.

He should be focusing on breaks and the classics anyway

With his speed, he should learn to bunch sprint...... especially because breaks rarely make it in stage races.

In a race like this one, he could win stages in bunch sprints, and the same goes for any other "climber heavy" stage race, where teams are not bringing their top sprinters.

Then maybe he needs to focus on the sprints where the stronger/better at position themselves sprinters are gone.
And go into a few unauthorised breakaways.

Chapeau Sam Bennett - he keeps getting wins and he deserves to be a team's main sprinter. Berhane and Pacher deserve a prize for sticking it out for 160 kms or so in the cold and rain. Van Aert is turning into a sprinter now too?! :)
