Yeah, Rick. Make them both sticky, this way you'll still be confused. :p

An edition like last year with showers and a fast Knokteberg would be amazing. No sprinter in top 13.

It's a bit easier than E3/Omloop but still a race for the specialists if you look at the list of winners.

This might be the only cobbled classic with rain this spring.

I wonder if some riders will think more about the weekend coming up if the weather makes the race too hard or dangerous with crashes. Maybe an outsider will be able to do something, thats more eager to risk it and take chances.

Some might even be a bit sore after GW also, that are lining up here too. It was a long race with the distance, but the pace they had made it brutal.

From 1990 edition (29 years ago), Edwig Van Hooydonck wins, with Adrie Van Der Poel (father of Mathieu Van Der Poel) second:

I think the van der Poel family will get revenge over the Van Hooydoncks this time.

Not looking good right now. Weather on Wednesday in Waregem has changed to just cloudy.

How cold is it supposed to be?

GVA confirmed as a non-starter. Probably not too fond of the predicted rain in the afternoon.

Without Van Aert, Van Avermaet and Štybar (the three strongest riders of the spring), the race is really open.

Jungels is my favorite. He will attack from distance again. And without GVA and Sagan to set the pace, who is going to catch him?

I want a rainy Roubaix!

We may be in luck :)

Looks like there's going to be rain with crosswinds of 30km/h and gusts over 80km/h

But weather forecasts are inaccurate enough three days in advance, let alone 12, so we'll see I guess

Vanmarcke is not riding.

Not a good sign in terms of recovery ahead of Flanders. He was supposed to try to be here. The cobbled campaign might be lost for him this year, I'm afraid.

Jungels won't get away that easy this time. I'd be very shocked if they just let him ride away now that they know what he can do. Unless DQS can somehow prevent the other teams from reacting/chasing.
