Campenaerts will have an enema before the stage to lose another 200 grams. You cannot fault his dedication and attention to detail :D

It's also quite healthy to do it once in a while. Get all the s#!t out of your system. Literally.

Looking forward to this afternoon! I think Roglic will be the fastest and Yates second. Somehow I don't think TomD will be on the podium. But I am Dutch and I am hoping to be wrong, but his results so far are just not that good. So for the third place... I go with Campenaerts.

Somehow I also think the Ineos guys are going to surprise us.

Edit: I just read that TomD is not going to perform a bike change. Seems sensible to me.

They weren't good ahead of his Giro win in 2017 either. But it was kind of obvious he would show up in good form as he had been preparing for it all year. Same this time.

Bobby Jungels will make the podium today.
I have him on my list for the San Marino ITT, in my opinion that TT should be better for him.
Think Jungels is overrated as a TT'er.

I think the prologue is much better for him than the long ITT.

They were even far worse in 2018 and then he was 2nd in both Giro and TDF.

Even a bad start here wouldn't say much yet (unless it's like 50th place)

Any predictions for best time?
7'46 :D

Nah gonna say 12'49

That seems pretty accurate.

Nibali had fastest ascent of climb at 5'44, but at end of race, if we assume TT's can go about as fast (even on TT bikes and no drafting, but being fresh) And then the 5.9km flat section could be done in about 6:40...might even be slightly quicker.

Yeah, or wind could go down and give even more advantage to Yates, was just jk btw, very risky imho.
We'll see what happens.

Genius Yates, no bad weather likely !

Yeah, like proper weather models showed three days ago. ;)

Besides weather, it might still be a better idea for the body rhythm to race at times, when you normally race and not some three hours later.
