Hey guys. Quick question, Ive mostly been following online because I've been on holidays. What has the Jumbo-Visma DS done that's so bad? I've heard wiggin's has been complaining about him and people on here saying Roglic has been getting terrible support from his car.

Team car stopped to take a piss on a crucial point in the stage after which Roglic got a mechanical and instead of the team car being there, Roglic had to take Tolhoek's bike on which he crashed in the descent of the Civiglio

Not even a small test for Carapaz and Moviestar, GIRO OVER! :D

All are riding to protect their precious top 10 places, Roglic has no team to force and test anything and Nibali is in a position where Movistar has about 5 Carusos on this type of climb. And there's about 30 km of false flat until the last climb.

Not really 2what Wiggins has been on about. He reckons Engels is taking a rather pessimistic tone in interviews rather than encouraging him.

Wiggins claims that if he were DS, he would put his arm around "P"'s shoulders, tell him that he is fantastic, and Roglic would win.

Tells us far more about Wiggins' ego than about Engels' man management.

Re: Re:

You have to admit that those post-race interviews with Engels are cringe worthy. He is definitely a "glass half-empty" type of person. You need a DS to motivate and help the team/rider mentally. These top guys are all within a percent or two of each other and the psychological aspect is huge. This guy is horrible. Can you imagine him leading a troop of men into battle?!
Not only that, he totally screwed Roglic by stopping to piss at his most crucial time of need. All of the panel, not only Wiggins, are critical of Engels. Roglic really does deserve a better team and DS.

There is probably some truth to Wiggins' words though even if citing the attitude at Mitchelton Scott as the counter example was a bit odd.

It's a bit odd. Again the peloton lets the advantage grow to the point where a catch gets unlikely before they start to chase. I mean, it's not like a lot of the GC contenders have won stages already, in fact only Carapaz and Roglic have. Nibali, Majka, Mollema (lol), Lopez, Yates, Carthy all should be interested in maybe at least getting a stage from the race. But they just sit back and start to chase when Formolo moves up to 5th on virtual GC...

Apperently I was the only one thinking this would be the right place for an ambush which naturally means it would have been the right place for an ambush
