Why doesn't it suit him? He showed last year he's got the best w/kg in the field in the mountains; and somehow he also seems to have kept much of his classics explosivity.

The big question mark is if he can stay on his bike for three weeks.

Really happy about Fuglsangs performance today.

The steep gradients is not his turf, at all, so losing only 9 on Thomas is great on this kind of stage.

Ciccone takes yellow because of the bonus seconds on the 2nd last climb

First to come to my mind are Bardet, Porte, Uran, Kruijswijk, Adam Yates and Nibali

edit: apparently Porte finished 11th, so probably same time as Buchmann

To be fair I think he’d have gone close in Suisse, just like he won the Dauphiné as his prep last year.

Fuglsang should be quite good on these gradients no? Seeing his performances this spring, compared to Thomas who is quite a lot bigger?
