Wellens leaving the French pro-conti riders behind

Wellens winning a 200 km+ solo ride would be quite epic.

Especially considering the fact that there's only 47 Ks to go. :p
We all know that the other 4 were just Wellens' henchmen for the first 150 k. :p

Wellens on a mission.. Peloton is gonna have to work to bring him back. Don't think it's possible when they just ride a sprinter pace.

If it was raining I'd say the peloton has to be careful. Wellens is phenomenal at making solo breaks but I fear this time the gaps he has is simply too small

The polka dots might be traveling from specialist to specialist.

Stage 1: GVA with the cobbled bergs.
Stage 3: Wellens in the Ardennes-like hills.
Stage 5: De Gendt for the medium mountain Vosges climbs up next?

Meanwhile sources have told Gazzetta dello Sport that Dumoulin's move to Jumbo from 2020 is imminent. That's Tom Dumoulin.
Sources?

Ciro Scognamiglio twitter:

Several sources told @Gazzetta_it in these days that the move of @tom_dumoulin to @JumboVismaRoad from @TeamSunweb in 2020 is almost a done deal. We are in France now so... 'affaire a suivre' @LeTour @cycling_podcast

Lots of talk about Valverde's weight loss for the Tour. Interesting. He had an underwhelming spring . . . is this a stealth move for GC at the TDF?
A stealth move would have been adopting Horner's diet
