Did every local business get on Masnadas Jersey ?

Ha, i was thinking that too! With these small teams you've got to give everybody their sq cm. My club racing jersey had space for the local dentist and tax lawyer.

Nice job by Sky to control the race, and the final stage. Didn't realize that Sivakov was French-Russian. He was also 2nd at jr LBL in 2016...hmmm...

where's that MAsnada come from, never so heard from him before...
Didn't you watch last years Giro, for instance?

Quintero helping to pull here in the end must be the dumbest tactic ever if there were no agreement.
Either dumb or money.

Him getting a lot of money is at least more likely than him being so dumb, but for himself and a team like Manzana a stagewin would mean a lot, so you would think it was expensive, and I also doubt Androni/Masnada has much money so its hard to say

This, he rode a good Giro last year and this year he finished on the podium in the Giro di Sicilia.
He's a big talent, he finished 6th on gc in the Giro della valle d'aosta as a first year u23 rider when Aru won the race, but after that he had to deal with Mono and injuries, he still won the u23 lombardia before turning pro.
I think he's at least as talented as Formolo.

I think Masnada had a little extra that he wasn't showing so he could get Quintero to work with him. It sure looked that way. For any of these pro Conti guys a win is huge, so why not take your chances in a 2 up sprint?

I was quite sure he was gonna make it. Sky playing that arrogant tactic once again pisses me slightly off since its only working when they are this superior (or at least have the best team). BUT, I won on Sivakov!

Considering the pressure they are put under to be the next winner since Hinault, I could understand riders playing down any association!

Great race this year, every stage was entertaining! Congrats to Sivakov!
Yes, this year we didn't get any stages in the eastern part of Südtirol or in Osttirol, but it was a great race. Oh well, we still get a Giro stage finish and the start of a stage, so everything is fine.

Chapeau Masnada & Androni - would not be surprised if another team offer him some more money. 2 stage wins 5 th on GC (and Androni's Cattaneo 4th on GC just 30 seconds down on Nibali and the podium) so they've had a good race.

Did Sky intend to let Hart & Sivakov have a go for GC? Or maybe they were doing the QS/Astana trick of letting anyone have a go if they feel good. Anyway chapeau for hanging in there.

Nibali showed a willingness to attack, but he had a problem dropping Majka and the 2 Sky riders. With all the talent at the Giro he's going to need to find one more gear to podium.

Glad he made a stand. Good on him, still needs to turn 22, but i was worried he'd get stuck in domestique hell at Sky. Really interested what Ineos is going to do in the future when Froome, Thomas & co are retired. They have Hart, Bernal, Sivakov... clearly future contenders. Will they stick with these guys, or keep piling up GC guys?

Yes he Couldn’t drop the sky duo but he is a few weeks off Giro form.

He needs to be considered a big favourite in my opinion, with the others

According to his IG account Carboni crashed, his right leg is pretty banged up. That explains why he lost so much time.
