It's not a small race afterall. Congrats to Colbrelli. He's in amazing form.

So, if Evenepoel had won it would have been a small race, but because Colbrelli won it's not a small race? Surely the status of the race doesn't changes that much because of that?

Colbrelli answered and followed every attack Remco had. So if he wins by a sprint he is well deserved of the victory.

Everyone should ride to their own strengths.

Yep, if you're a sprinter/puncheur you save yourself for the sprint. If you're a rouleur you have to ride away earlier.

I have nothing but admiration for Remco's talents but the petulance is getting a bit tiresome. He'll need to develop another way to win in these one-day races against the big boys. But it doesn't mean he can't win a GT. He made the race today -- bravo!

Movistar tactics seems 200 IQ when compared to Evenepoel's.

After the climb, Colbrelli wins the race 11 out of 10 times, irrespective of what Remco does.

There wasn't much that Evenepoel could have done against this Colbrelli after the climb was over, so I won't be critical of him here.

He has a bit of a hot temper too. He should use or at least hide his frustration better.

He did what he had to do on the climb, it worked with Cosnefroy but Colbrelli is in the shape of his life. Maybe he could have attacked on the flat but would not have been easy.

I really dislike the forum when Evenepoel is involved in a race

Why must everybody mock him all the time? Why is it so hard to understand the situation he is in and empathise a bit with him? Yes, he makes gestures, but so what? He is a great racer, why do a few hand gestures rile you all up like that?

Usually, everybody acts like policemen assigned to spot and penalise wheelsucking, but apparently not when Remco is involved. He is just an object you can kick at because he has the audacity to show a little bit of frustration.

Bit surprised that he did not shut it down seeing who were taking of with him, but then again there were only about fast legs in that big group. Wrong timing for him, should have done it much earlier or fiddle with others, who Sivakov Good for Corbrelli of course.
