That's a pretty clear statement. But I'm confused as Rob Hatch just mentioned that Voeckler would be happy now with the Cosnefroy win after deciding to pick him after all?

But is it Voeckler not selecting Cosnefroy, or is it Cosnefroy deciding he doesn't want to go?
If it's the latter, then Voeckler can't very well tie Cosnefroy's arms behind his back, and force him to go to Australia.

Omg. WvA fail. Here’s hoping that the Belgian national coach realizes that the only chance WvA has at the worlds if he allows Remco to soften up the opposition in the last 40k. Then again, very good chance Remco has bad legs by then.

Our national TV broadcasted this race and heck why not. Congratulations to Benoît Cosnefroy for winning it. A detail that caught my eye is a battle for some prestige. In between Pogačar and van Aert for first place (UCI men). Jan Tratnik did rather well too.

The Montreal race has 4800 metres of elevation. How does this compare to previous editions ?

me thinks there will be another rider in contention for that very soon.

Winning a monument and a GT is a strong case to be the best cyclist of the season, regardless of points. But we'll see how end of the season unfolds: if Pogacar has super strong end of the season (i.e. Lombardy victory + WC medal) then he will have a strong case too - no GT victory but 2nd at the Tour is also valuable plus other prestigious races won. There's also WVA in the mix but he will need WC gold to have a case.

Evenepoel is scheduled to ride the TT too, right?

Could have all the ingredients for a Belgian farce. Could end up with every other team ganging up on Wout with constant small groups pinging off the front and Remco too cooked from the Vuelta triumph to hold the race together.

Belgian Pozzato again overwhelmed and like a rabbit in car headlights in a big one day race, riding defensively and losing the race

He JUST won the Bretagne Classic.

This is getting as tedious and tiring as your Masnada posts (which have been more tolerable this year, though).

Nobody can win every race in cycling, that's what's great about the sport.

Come on Toby we know Bretagne classic is the number one Mickley mouse race on the wolrd tour. Such a prestigious top 10 with Lawrence, Kamp, Ghimay, Fiorelli, naesen, Thomas, skujins, de lie

When the pressure is on Belgian Pozzato keeps bottling it with his bad tactics.

Not tedious or tiring, the people enjoy it. If you think I am tedious, don't know how you are on this forum still.

Surely I am better than that Danish guy with the boonen pic that argues with you every chances he gets.

Lol, as if one poster would be able to chase me away from the forum...

I do think you and I have been more in sync lately but I am not a man for the memes, and I find it ridiculous that you take a stab at Van Aert every time he races his bike, whether he wins or loses.

Bretagne Classic is not that bad, Pogacar and Matthews also participated, and on PCS it ranks 14 among all races of the year based on start list quality - the Canadian races are only very little above it.

And wasn't he just a little below his usual par yesterday? Or maybe the team should just ride for him a little better than entering every move that materialises and then suddenly be caught on the back foot when somebody still manages to get away, prompting him to having to accelerate and close gaps himself on the final two kilometres.

UAE appears to be making the race hard driving the peloton—could bode well for a good selection on the last two circuits.
