Tbf, outside of Ala who had a heavy crash, the other top riders for a race like this are not here. This is a different story if WVA, VDP etc are here.

They can't be going that fast though I suppose because Rodriguez is really pulling out too.

I really enjoy the aggressive riding and full gas early in most races nowadays. With attacks and making selection from 100k out and so on. Just in general the development has been like that. Love it.

This is a legendary ride again if he pulls it off.

Pogacar winning solo was the most obvious outcome, the bigger question was where the attack was going to come.

Exactly... I think they making the race more boring, than the rider attacking trying to solo the last 50k.

Peloton basically gave up and racing for podium right now.

They would always need to make a selection behind him to go full gas. If three or five riders had been able (and ready to commit) to follow Rodriguez, it wouldn't have been over.

Solos are an awesome showing of incredible strength and I can appreciate them, but it does get kinda boring. Same when Evenepoel does them. It's like "ok he's gone, that's it".

Pogacar is winning more time on the peloton than on Rodriguez Cano. A peloton that includes multiple domestiques from almost all the big teams. That says it all.

With 50 riders in the peloton, is Pogacar really to blame for the nonexistent chase? If anything, it's pathetic display from the rest of the field..

The relative weakness of this year's startlist, particularly at the top end, is playing out in the worst possible way.
