Just noticed Pedersen is on the startlist, what can we expect from him tomorrow? Short effort, with his classics form (declining?).
Pedersen sounded very ambitious about his goals for the Giro, and even willing to pay the price for it later in the season. Full out from day one, get as many points and wins as he can get.

Personally I was a bit surprised about that, as it's probably almost impossible to combine that with a good Tour, let alone World Championships right after.

If he can ride the Tour as training for the Worlds, it's maybe the best decision. Or just skip the Tour.

On a good day he can be close for the win tomorrow I think.

Here comes the dark side

Did Nibali transfer his voodoo powers to Evenepoel at the start of last year? Cheap Liège, then Roglic crashing out of the Vuelta, then everyone letting a move with him go at the Worlds, then Pogacar crashing out of Liège, and now Jumbo will have literally lost half a team before the Giro has even started if Tratnik is out. I guess the guy deserved some luck after all he had to do to recover from his Lombardia crash, but this is going above and beyond now.
