I'm personally disappointed that Julie Nielsen Maribo only finished 11th today after the bronze medal at the TT.

Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig and the other favourites were too slow to react to the breakaway - Cecilie often gambles and rides defensively. Didn't pay off today, and she may have to add a little more aggression to her way of racing.

Bit of both. MvdP has done a LOT of work and Kooij was in the breakaway not even taking pulls. The hills aren't so hard and Kooij isn't such a one trick sprinter that he can't do a 30s hill.
