Who will be the first rider to attack?
Maybe Pogačar will give the fans some early action just for fun.

Looking at the rider numbers, I notice that UAE have avoided giving any of there riders #13 on their bib, as Adam Yates is instead wearing #19.
Likewise, Bahrain have skipped out on #61 with Fred Wright wearing #69.

I assume in UAE's case it's because of superstition, though traditionally riders just turn 13 upside down. But for Bahrain is it as simple as Fred Wright just really wanted to wear #69 or is there something I'm missing?

#61 has been "retired" for Gino Mader

At first I thought that it was Mäder's number in Suisse, but he wore number 44 when he died.

Wow, if that is really the break of the day, that easy, I am highly confused.

There should be more teams wanting to hit the break.

When not, a lot of teams will have designs on the last 50 K, so it will be interesting to see who commits to keeping the break inside 3 minutes.

Seeing the Astana jersey in action, it's a contender for All Time Great.
I actually like it more having seen it worn & properly in use, its weird sometimes jersey photoshoots dont do it justice, natural light and less photoshopping improves it imo

Because of the dye sublimation technology used, which prints the colours "on" the fabric rather than being the colour of the fabric itself, the colours appear lighter when the fabric is stretched, because the white fabric underneath shines through more - and cycling jerseys are stretched out by default.
