Well, you don't have a point as this race was not boring nor predictable.

The rest of the season has been predictable - that's not to say it cannot have been enjoyable for some.

But it's *** annoying that every thread must be polluted with negativity even if it's just a 'fun' attempt at trolling people like DE and DNP.
People never live in the moment, same posters will probably rate some of these races in ten years time.

This was unironically a way better race than the WC. And Liege. And Flanders. And Roubaix.

Probably the best one day race of the calender tbh, only MSR and Fleche Wallone can compete.

Laporte did what we’re all screaming in a 2 sprint. Don’t get in front the last km. But that’s normally for the slower rider, this was done before the sprint.

In a game of chicken, you win by dismounting the steering wheel and throwing it away, visible to your opponent. Of course, it's not possible to signal as strong commitment in cycling, and the art of it is to judge if the situation allows it and how to time it.

Laporte with a nice win in a historic race. There were a lot of people clowning him in lesser known races thread last week because he was willing to lose the race in a small race. Surely he will dedicate today's win to them

Not a good day for Danish riders.
The freaking Maltese guy was better than all the Danes!

(I know Malta stole him from France.)
