Literally no other decent sprinter here and then you have the one guy in Ewans wheel (Menten) getting a mechanical, then you get something like this. Good for Ewans confidence I guess
Well, he had zero confidence the last 2 years. Better than continuing to throw him into WT sprints that he was afraid to contest.

He won 3 easy sprints last year too, did not seem to help him in bigger races.

Honestly, that may be his level now, i.e., non-WT races. That's not terrible given that he's probably on a "last chance" deal at Ineos.

I don't wish him ill; I think his issues are partly self-inflicted, but it takes a huge amount of self-confidence to contest WT sprints given the danger. He hasn't been the same since he and Sagan crashed in the Tour a few years ago.

I'm looking forward to see Widar getting his first pro win.
Although Tulett should be the favourite.

Okay, maybe it's not necessary to randomly cut to a group minutes behind crossing the line before the final lap...

Lotto chased behind, now it's Astana and Ineos. Latour has nearly been caught again.

3 km to the start of the final ascent, Jasch has nearly a minute on the peloton.
